Boot Room Weekly Round Up – Issue 8

June 30, 2020

It’s been so long since we last updated this blog – the last post was Sept 13, 2018 – you could reasonably describe this post in marketing speak as ‘eagerly awaited’ – or maybe we are just flattering ourselves…

You can thank @RNSkipper on Twitter for giving us that final nudge that kicked us into gear and got us posting. As it’s been so long since our last post we’re going to restart with a tried and tested format – our weekly review or round up post. Enjoy!… hopefully.

New boot of the week: Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Elite CR7 Safari FG

These probably weren’t even released this week but hey, its been that long since we updated the blog they feel like they were released this week to us! Although we’re big fans and advocates of traditional black boots we’re also big fans of Nike’s iconic Safari print so these get a pass!

Safari, so goody!

They just don’t make ’em like they used to…

Image of the week:

Forget the truly stunning Sampdoria away kit being modelled by Graeme Souness and Trevor Francis just take a look at Soueys feet… and yes they are Dunlop boots! Only the glorious bastard that is Graeme Souness could pull off wearing Dunlop boots in Serie A!

Pick-ups of the week:

A few more vintage shirts to add to the hoard…

This weeks other worthy mentions:

Just look at the typeface used in the sponsor logo on this Getafe away shirt – £24.99 from Classic Football Shirts = oh and the orange and blue colourway is pretty tasty too!

We love these wonderfully detailed, hand-drawn illustrations of iconic football grounds and stands.
